PUNJAB STATE WOMEN COMMISSION CHAIRPERSON EXHORTS POLICE TO START AWARENESS DRIVE ON WOMEN RIGHTS
जालंधर के महिला पुलिस थाने का दौरा,शिकायतकर्ता से भी की मुलाकात
इंडिया न्यूज सेंटर,जालन्धरः पंजाब राज्य महिला कमीशन की चेयरपर्सन मनीषा गोलाई ने पुलिस आधिकारियों को कहा है कि वह महिलाओं के अधिकारों के प्रति जागरूरता फैलाने के लिए मुहिम शुरु करें जिससे महिलाओं के विरुद्ध हो रही किसी भी बेइन्साफ़ी को रोका जा सके। उन्होने कहा कि यदि महिलाओं को अपने अधिकारों के प्रति जानकारी होगी तो वह हो रहे शोषण के विरुद्ध आवाज़ उठा सकेगी। चेयरपरसन ने आज जालंधर के महिला पुलिस स्टेशन का दौरा करके पुलिस आधिकारियों से मीटिंग की गई और महिलाओं से सबंधित शिकायतों और विशेष कर घरेलू हिंसा के मामलों के बारे में जानकारी प्राप्त की और उनकों शीघ्र हल करने के लिए ज़रुरी दिशा निर्देश जारी किये। मीटिंग के दौरान उन्होने ए.डी.सी.पी. सचिन गुप्ता को कहा कि पुलिस की तरफ से कालेजों और यूनिवर्सिटियों में लड़कियाँ को उनके कानूनी और सामाजिक अधिकारों को बताया जाये। उन्होने कहा कि कमीशन ने जागरूकता मुहिम के लिए पंजाब पुलिस को हर तरह का सहयोग दिया जायेगा और अच्छी कारगुज़ारी दिखाने वाले आधिकारियों और पुलिस थाने के मुखिया को सम्मानित भी किया जायेगा। लंबे समय से मामलों को गंभीरता से लेते उन्होने कहा कि ऐसे मामलों के बारे में रिपोर्ट कमीशन को भेजी जाये जिससे मामलों को जल्द हल किया जा सके। उनकी तरफ से मौके पर पहुँची अनेकों शिकायतकर्ताओं से भी मुलाकात की गई। इस अवसर पर डिप्टी डायरै1टर विजय कुमार, ए.सी.पी. अशोक कुमार, वूमैन पुलिस स्टेशन की एस.एच.ओ. मनदीप कौर और अन्य पुलिस अधिकारी उपस्थित थे।
CHAIRPERSON VISITS WOMEN POLICE STATION
India News Centre,Jalandhar- Chairperson of Punjab State Women Commission Ms Manisha Gulati on Tuesday directed the police to start awareness drive to sensitize the women about their rights in the district.
Ms Gulati, who visited the women police station and held a meeting with ADCP (Headquarters) Mr Sachin Gupta and others, said that the drive must be initiated from the educational institutions including schools, colleges or university level following ward and village wise.
She said that she would actively participate in the drive and the commission will leave no stone unturned in making every woman aware of her rights.
The Chairperson asked women police station to give a detailed report regarding serious and long pending complaints to the commission so that speedy justice can be provided to the victims with its direct involvement.
She said that all the complaints must be settled within the stipulated time without causing any kind of undue delay after a thorough probe.
During her visit, Ms Gulati met various complainants, said that the commission has taken note of such complaints during visits to the other districts.
On the occasion, Deputy Director Mr Vijay Kumar, ACP Mr Ashok Kumar, Sub Inspector Ms Mandeep Kaur and others were present.
