29 CASES OF DENGUE LARVA DETECTED IN CITY UNDER TANDARUST PUNJAB MISSION
इंडिया न्यूज सेंटर,जालन्धरः तंदुरुस्त पंजाब मिशन के अंतर्गत पानी से पैदा होने वाली बीमारियों की रोकथाम के लिए स्वास्थ्य विभाग और नगर निगम जालंधर की संयुक्त टीम ने शहर में 29 अलग-अलग स्थानों पर डेंगू का लारवा पाया गया। सुखजिन्दर सिंह, मनजीत, राज कुमार, संजीव कुमार, गुरपाल सिंह के नेतृत्व वाली टीम ने करोल बाग़, बशीरपुरा, गुरू नानकपुरा, न्यू अमरनगर, जे.पी. नगर और किशनपुरा में जांच की गई। जांच के दौरान टीम द्वारा 439 घरों का दौरा करके 122 कूलरों, 129 फाल्तू कन्नटेनरों की जांच की गई और ७५९ कमरों में दवा का छिड़काव किया गया। इस अवसर पर टीमों द्वारा डेंगू लारवा कूलरों, गमलों, बालटियों और अन्य पानी एकत्रित करने वाले कन्नटेनरों में पाया गया। इस अवसर पर टीमों ने लोगों को कूलरों और कन्नटेनरों में एकत्रित पानी को तुरंत बहाने और इन को अच्छी तरह साफ सुथरा करके प्रयोग के लिए कहा गया क्योंकि इन में ही ज़्यादातर डेंगू मच्छर का लारवा पैदा होता है जिस से डेंगू,मलेरिया आदि जैसी बीमारियाँ पैदा होती हैं। इस अवसर पर उन्होने तंदुरुस्त पंजाब मिशन के अंतर्गत लोगों के कल्याण के लिए की जा रही गतिविधियों के बारे में भी बताया गया।
Jalandhar- In its ongoing drive against vector-borne diseases in the city under Tandarust Punjab Mission, a joint team of the health department and Municipal Corporation Jalandhar (MCJ) spotted 29 dengue larva cases in various localities of the city.
Teams of anti-larva wing led by Mr Sukhjinder Singh, Mr Manjeet, Mr Raj Kumar, Mr Sanjeev Kumar, Mr Gurpal Singh and others carried the inspection in Karol Bagh, Bashirpura, Guru Nanak Pura, New Amar Nagar, JP Nagar and Kishanpura.
During the checking, the teams visited 439 houses, checked 122 air coolers and 129 waste containers. Anti-Larva team sprayed the medicine in 759 rooms.
The larva mostly was found in desert coolers, flower pots, buckets and other water containers.
The teams' members interacted with the local residents and asked them to refrain from storing water in containers and air coolers as it could act as a breeding ground for the mosquitoes that were the carriers of diseases like dengue, malaria and others.
They also informed the people about the ‘Tandarust Punjab Mission’ that was aimed at ensuring the overall wellness of the people of the district.
