· EXHORTS YOUTH TO COME FORWARD FOR VOTING ENTHUSIASTICALLY
India News Centre,Jalandhar-In order to encourage the voters, especially the youth, to cast their votes during the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, the Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr. Jasbir Singh today inaugurated a selfie point at HMV College besides presiding over other Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities.
Addressing the students, the Additional Deputy Commissioner said that youth must come forward enthusiastically to exercise their franchise in the ensuing polls. He said that this would not only make them an active partner in socio-economic growth of the country but would also ensure that ethos of democracy were strengthen at ground level. Mr. Jasbir Singh said that it was bounden duty of youth to ensure that they use the right to vote for the progress of our country and well being of its people.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner said that by using their votes the youth could transform the destiny of the country and its future generations. Mr. Jasbir Singh said that it was all the more important for all of us to make judicious use of our right to vote. He also complimented the management of HMV College for organizing this event to sensitize youth.
Earlier, the Principal of HMV College Dr. Ajay Sareen and Assistant Nodal Officer SVEEP Mr. Surjit Lal welcomed the Additional Deputy Commissioner.
