India News Centre,Jalandhar: Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting and Youth & Sports Affairs Shri Anurag Singh Thakur called Aam Aadmi Party the biggest reason for the plight of Punjab. Taking a dig at the Bhagwant Mann government on the drug trade in Punjab, Mr. Thakur said that Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann had talked big about destroying the drug trade, but the today the drug trade is flourishing and destroying the future of Punjab's youth. Mr. Thakur said, "Mothers today are crying bitterly on seeing the dead bodies of their young sons." Mr. Thakur was speaking to the reporters in Jalandhar today. He said, "The Aam Aadmi Party government has shattered the dream of Ludhiana smart city.
Raising deep questions on the law and order situation in Punjab, the Union Minister said, "Singers, sportspersons and businessmen are being murdered here in broad daylight. Criminals are running gang wars by sitting in jails. The law and order situation in Punjab has completely collapsed." There are many businessmen who do not even approach the police out of fear. Mr. Thakur said, "Today, the mafia is flourishing in Punjab. Terrorism is raising its head. Bhagwant Mann ji must answer that what did he do for Punjabis in the last one year?
Attacking corruption, the Union Minister said that Aam Aadmi Party MLAs today are known as "Vasuli Vidhayaks". He said, "First they start controversies and then do the work of extortion. Name the worst work in the society, and the leader of Aam Aadmi Party will be found associated with it. It is a shame to see and hear the alleged videos of their ministers. The Health Minister had to resign in just 2 months on the charges of corruption, but still there is competition among AAPs MLAs to eat money. The record of corruption, which was established by the Punjab Congress in its 5 years is broken by the Aam Aadmi Party in just 1 year.
Linking Punjab's corruption with Delhi's corruption, Mr. Thakur said, "Punjab is running exactly on Delhi's corruption model. Those seeking votes in the name of common man have created a free hand of loot in Delhi and Punjab. He said , "In Delhi, their health minister and education minister are in jail today on serious charges of corruption. The Chief Minister, who used to say that he will never buy a big house, car and other facilities, has spent 45 crores only on the renovation of his bungalow. In Delhi where Jal Board is not able to provide drinking water to the common man, a swimming pool worth 8 crores has been built in the residence of the Chief Minister. They did not even build a toilet for the people of Delhi, but Arvind Kejriwal ji has built 15 toilets in his house. The poor didn't even get a pucca house under AAPs regime but Kejriwal ji spent 4.5 crore on his house's floor. The decoration has been done with wooden boards worth 8 crores. The poor cannot buy a TV worth 10.5 thousand but Arvind Kejriwal ji has installed a TV worth 10.50 lakh, not one but many TVs."
Drawing attention to the election promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab, Mr. Thakur said that Bhagwant Mann has not done a single work worthy of respect, but all the dishonest works are being done in his government. He said, "The mothers and sisters of Punjab have been waiting since long that when they will get 1000 rs. in their bank accounts. 13,000 was supposed to come in the last 13 months but not even 13 paise came.
Further highlighting the work done by the Bharatiya Janata Party in Punjab, the Union Information and Broadcasting Minister said, "We have given Punjab AIIMS, PGI satellite centre, 950 crore for smart city project. Be it new highways or the super expressways, all this was possible only under the Bharatiya Janata Party government. It was Modi's government that opened the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, made the ropeway up to Hemkund Sahib and made the Char Dham Yatra accessible. It was only through us that Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj Ji's Prakash Parv was celebrated with pomp and the country started celebrating Sahabzade's sacrifice day as Veer Bal Diwas. SIT was formed in 1984 Sikh riots in Modi government. Mr. Thakur said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is going to seek votes on the basis of its work, but the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party are hiding their faces as to what to do. He said, "In a word, mafia is flourishing in Punjab today. The talk of stopping drugs is far away, today in the government of Aam Aadmi Party, drugs are being sold in the 'mohallas'. The terrorism which was once crushed is flourishing again today under AAP's government."
